I am a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Weight Loss Specialist (NASM CPT, CES, WLS), and for the last few years I have trained clients all over the country one-on-one over Zoom and FaceTime.

WHAT VIRTUAL PERSONAL TRAINING ACTUALLY LOOKS LIKE

 

Most people picture virtual training and imagine some pre-recorded video they have to follow along with at 6 a.m. while a stranger yells at them through their phone. That is not this.

This is live, one-on-one personal training.

We meet on Zoom or FaceTime at a time that actually works for your schedule, you set your phone or tablet up so I can see your full body move, and we train together for a full session. I am there the whole time, watching your form, calling out adjustments, slowing things down when something does not feel right, and pushing the intensity up when your body is ready for more.

It is the same hands-on, attentive coaching you would get from an in-person trainer at a high-end studio…minus the commute, minus the membership fee on top of the training fee, minus having to schedule your whole life around someone else's gym hours.

It is, in a lot of ways, better. And I will tell you why in a minute.

Here’s how it works:

  • We meet on Zoom or FaceTime for your scheduled session.

  • I coach you live as you move..Watching your form, giving you cues, adjusting reps and rest in real time, modifying anything that does not feel right in your body that day.

  • Every session is fully customized to your goals your fitness level, and what is actually realistic for the equipment, time, and space you have on that particular day.

  • No guessing, no cookie-cutter programs and, no generic warmup someone else got last Tuesday. It is all about you, in the moment.

ABOUT YOUR TRAINER

I'm Sara. NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise Specialist, and Weight Loss Specialist (NASM CPT, CES, WLS, yes I collect letters), Plant-Based Nutritionist trained through eCornell's T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies, founder of The Cancer Comeback Club, and a colon cancer survivor myself.

The credential mix matters more than the alphabet soup makes it look. The CPT means I can program a real workout for you. The CES means I am specifically trained to watch how a body moves and correct what is off, which is exactly the skill virtual personal training depends on. The WLS means I can support you if weight loss is one of your goals, with actual training science behind it instead of internet trends. And the eCornell nutrition certification means we can talk about food without it ever turning into a diet conversation.

I have been coaching people one-on-one for years, both in person and virtually. The clients I have worked with longest started training with me virtually and never had a reason to switch to anything else. Some of them I have never met in person. We have just been showing up together over a screen, week after week, building real strength in real bodies.

🐾Ernesto, my 88-pound rescue and unofficial co-coach, makes regular cameo appearances. He does not technically have a certification. He has, however, sat through every single session I have ever coached, and I think that has to count for something.
